I just did that thing where you take the shaker top from a can of parmesan cheese* and put it on a canning jar so you can have a flip-top lid for your jar.

I put baking soda in it, because that mangled box drives me nuts. Why they don’t package baking soda the same way they package baking powder is a mystery to me.

This makes me ridiculously happy.



*I bought the generic parmesan cheese for two dollars and threw it away. That stuff isn’t food, people.

    Good idea for baking soda. That box makes me crazy too. I will have to wait until I finish my current can of cheese because we eat it. Haha!

    You are so funny! I have my baking soda in jars as well, likewise my borax, soap flakes, and washing soda. It’s nice to just recycle the boxes.

    Why can’t I remember these ideas when I need them? I just threw out the lid to a Parmesan cheese. Now it’s going to take me 6 months to finish a new jumbo size jar from Costco to try this. Darn it.
