Big Scary Announcement

**Deep Breath**

Okay, ‘member that time when I found that amazing pencil sharpener and I loved it so much, and I wrote about it all over the place and I even gave some of them away?

Well, I convinced Jim that homeschoolers need these things.

And then I convinced the guy who sold me ours to sell me a bunch more.

And then I built a website, signed up to be a vendor at a Curriculum Fair in Utah, and figured out how to take credit cards on my phone.

**whew**

So that’s it.

That’s the big, scary announcement.

I am the proud new owner of a small business selling pencil sharpeners to homeschoolers.

Best Pencil Sharpener Ever

It’s Adventure, Part Deux.

Is that more or less plausible than going to Utah to find a sister-wife?

I am going to do a give away in the next few weeks, and also maybe figure out how to do a coupon code for free shipping.

Check it out. Tell me what you think.

Especially if you see any grammar mistakes.

YEAHHH!!! Oh, congrats! Why would you ever be nervous about it? Like how many people get judged for being (whisper) pencil sharpener dealers?

PS I like home-school to be hyphenated. Other people like one word. Here you have used two on your website.

I honest to gracious don’t know what the “correct” way to do it would be. šŸ™‚

*raises hand high* I’ll take one! Can’t seem to find for how much. Love the green retro. Is it possible to ship to Canada without it costing an arm and a leg?
    congrats!!

I LOVE our retro green pencil sharpener. You have chosen a fantastic product to sell. Good for you! (I purchased the one I have on your recommendation long ago.) The website looks great too. Totally.

Well done! You are an entrepreneur! Congratulations.

I have one of those old style school sharpeners that needs to be permanentally mounted (hehehehe) or attached to something solid like wood studs, it wound up going INSIDE the closet of our guestroom which is NOT where we homeschool but it is where we store the Lego so my kids quickly realized “I need to sharpen this pencil” was an excellent excuse for a walkabout with a layover in the land that plastic built. The point of this long run on sentence: I think I need one of your Best Pencil Sharpener Ever sharpeners.

We used to have sharpeners like that when I was at school, every classroom had one! Permit me some stupidity but can you buy pencils that are not made of wood that would need sharpening?

So cool! I will, of course, be buying one. When I get $25 of my own to spend. Meanwhile, I’ve pinned it so I’m sure you’ll sell out overnight. (tongue in cheek here)

Seriously though, I love that you’re doing this and the site looks great.

I haven’t used a wooden pencil in ages, but it is glorious that you started your own business. The site, graphics, and copy are all excellent, with your fun and smart personality shining through.

And the sharpeners are adorable, making me wonder if I’m not missing something with my mechanicals. How are they anchored? The old, unpretty one I used to use had a suction lever at the bottom.
